RIASEC
What is a RIASEC test?
RIASEC describes six personality types that show up in the work people enjoy: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising and Conventional. Everyone has a dominant personality type along with a mix of 2 others, which are essential to understand a person holistically. CARESTEER uses these six types for Class 9–12 students in India.
- R
Realistic
A good day is spent building, fixing or growing something with your hands, often outdoors or in a workshop.
- I
Investigative
A good day is spent asking why, testing an idea and working at a problem until it makes sense.
- A
Artistic
A good day is spent making something of your own: a design, a piece of writing, music or a performance.
- S
Social
A good day is spent teaching, listening to or looking after other people.
- E
Enterprising
A good day is spent leading a group, pitching an idea and persuading people to say yes.
- C
Conventional
A good day is spent keeping numbers, records and plans neat, accurate and on time.
The code is not an aptitude score, and it can change as a student gets older.
